In order to gather a complete picture of the machines, users, and applications, you need to gather a significant amount of data. We use a data gathering and measurement tool to help you collect information about the environment, including an inventory of machines and applications, network latency, graphics intensity, disk I/O, CPU average use, login delay and much more.

Classify Data in Meaningful Ways

Our VDI assessment methodology is designed to take the collected data and turn it into meaningful information. Each desktop is analyzed for how well it fits into a virtualized environment.

Best practices would be to sort out any desktops and users that are not good candidates for the first wave of VDI and start with the best fit desktops/users. We then remediate the conditions that are making some desktops/users less than ideal fits and evaluate their readiness for the next round of virtualization.

How a VDI Assessment Works

First the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure appliance is installed in your environment.
Next the tool gathers inventory and performance data about the desktop, users, and applications over a 30-day window.
Then our engineers analyze and distill the data into multiple reports that are summarized into Fit Ratings.
Finally we prepare a detailed Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Assessment report and review the findings with you.
