The IBM ServeRAID M5015 SAS/SATA Controller for IBM Systems is a next generation 6Gbps SAS RAID controller. This adapter has two internal mini-SAS connectors to control up to 32 devices and it supports global and dedicated hot-spares drives. The ServeRAID M5015 provides additional performance advantages of extended cache and standard battery backup unit.
This RAID adapter is installed into supported servers providing connectivity to internal direct-attach
or expander-attached hard disk, solid-state or self-encrypting drives. Storage arrays are managed through
the ServeRAID M v1.10 suite, including LSI MegaRAID Storage Manager and MegaCLI.
