There are two slots. One contains a removable 2GB module and the other is available. To achieve maximum memory, the original chip MUST be replaced.
*Memory can be expanded to 8GB of physical memory. However, notebooks with a Windows Vista 32-bit or previous Windows 32-bit operating system can support up to 3GB of addressable memory. Notebooks with a Windows Vista 64-bit or Linux operating system can support 4GB of addressable memory.
