Rated 5 out of 5Â by ReelDog Great graphics card
...and yes, it installs and works flawlessly in older Intel MacPro1,1.
it was a little scary since this was my first graphics card install. The instructions assume you may have done this before and don't always include a few obvious steps (once I figured them out). For instance: remove all your port covers so you have a peek behind the card (they may not necessarily be filled with other cards).
It works perfectly and it may be my imagination, but start-up and launching definitely seem a bit quicker. This, plus an SSD drive as a new boot disk, is a great way to extend the lifespan of an early MacPro by adding Open CU. I believe I've now hit the wall at OS 10.7.x but I can use currently available software that requires Open CU.

Worth the $ to upgrade from gt 120! No more YouTube buffering, and all of the Lion graphics are now zippy. Buy it!

I replaced my ati1900xt with this card in my 2 x 3GHz Quad-Core Intel-Xeon Mac Pro tower. I am running Lion os 10.7.2 and the card performs great. I often run Cinema 4D and After Effects. Speedy. Satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Gabriel Good second card...
Picked this up as a secondary card for a 3-monitor display. Total install time was about 60 seconds, couldn't have been more straightforward. Powered the computer on, but no signal to the monitors. After 15 seconds of troubleshooting, I remembered to plug the monitors in...and no problems ever since.
