It comes with very good 'free' mobile app access for phones/tablets. It can be used via multiple operating systems. It's great for storing music, movies, photo's and is perfect for automatic backing up from multiple devices. It is very secure and I would happily recommend this device to anyone. May 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Bill928 Better than other methods I have tried for network storage I find the "My Book Live" to be better than other methods I have tried for network storage - HHD storage conected via USB through my router or an older Belkin 5-USB to network hub (which is not compatible with Windows 8). I can easily access my files on multiple pc's, laptops, and my new iPad2, any device that can access my home network. May 10, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jb2112 Exceeded my Expectations I was looking for a NAS, but either had to spend hundreds or suffer severe limitations. In the end my pocketbook won and I selected the My Book Live. All I have to say is Iâ™m glad I went with this product. Now itâ™s not running some fast RAID, with dedicated controller and OS. So itâ™s not going to saturate a gigabit network connection. But it is about as fast as any normal USB 2.0 drive, and the network connective options are great. It even does a decent job of media streaming, which I was not expecting at all. In the end itâ™s not perfect, but for price and value it exceeded my expectations. May 10, 2013
