64GB PC3-10600R DIMMs (DDR3), expandable to 2TB. Eight slots contain 8GB modules installed in 4 memory cartridges.
Note: Memory expansion boards option (mfr# 588141-B21) required to configure up to 1TB using 16GB DIMMs
Video memory: 64MB
DIMM Installation guidelines:
Each memory expansion board can support up to 8 DIMMs, for a system total of 64 DIMMs. When installing DIMM modules in the Memory Board observe the following minimum guidelines:
UDIMMs are not supported
Minimum allowable configuration is two DIMMs per board.
DIMMs must be installed in pairs with identical characteristics. For configuration simplicity HP recommends using identical part numbered DIMMs throughout when possible.
DIMM pairs MUST be populated in sequence by letter designation. Install DIMM pair 1A, 8A first followed by DIMM pair 3B, 6B then DIMM pair 2C, 7C and DIMM pair 4D, 5D last.
Maximum performance is achieved by balancing DIMM pairs by letter groupings across all memory board. Such that the 1A, 8A pair is install in all memory boards first followed by the B pair, C pair and D pair.
AMP modes Online Sparing and Memory Mirroring have further requirements beyond these listed here. Please refer to the user guide for additional memory configuration requirements.

Note: It is suggested that at least 3 power supplies be installed for redundancy. The HP ProLiant DL580 G7 does an inventory of the system configuration to determine what level of redundancy the power supply configuration supports based on some configuration assumptions. The level of redundancy will be reported during the system power on. For planning purposes you can use the Power Advisor (www.hp.com/go/proliant-energy-efficient or www.hp.com/go/hppoweradvisor) which is more accurate to determine the power requirements. Also, there is an RBSU override switch capability that allows the user to override the base setting if the Power Advisor indicates redundancy with their configuration.
