Rated 5 out of 5Â by DVDmike Excellent Quality and Features
I've made thousands of prints using a variety of Epson printers. The vast majority of archival prints that I have made were printed on an Epson 7800 (24" wide) and on premium luster roll paper. With careful soft-proofing, the quality of the R2000 can exceed the print quality of the 7800 for finished media (not matte).
Add that and it has easy to set up networking and even wi-fi as well as optical disc printing, this is a valuable tool for me to make quick and high quality small prints on cut sheet paper. Its really not worth it for me to use roll paper on this machine, although it should do that too. (I would not bother with roll paper with any printer less than 17"). The price per print is not in the same league as the big boys, but the R2000 is really an outstanding value nonetheless.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by snew Epson Stylus Photo R2000
I purchased my Epson Stylus Photo R2000 last week after my Epson Stylus Photo 1280 quit working. It was fairly easy to set up and started printing right away. I use the printer for my graphic prints (not photographs) and the quality is excellent. The colors are closer to what I see on the screen than with the 1280. I love the shine that this printer provides. Beautiful prints and it prints faster! So far I am very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jack I have been processing my own photo's now for at least 9 years. This is my 3rd printer. I started with the R1800, then went to the R1900. When it started giving me problems with banding (after 4 years of use), I brought the R2000. I just completed setting it up.
It took me longer to set up as I have a Mac 10.6.8. I control color management with a spider 3.
After following the initial set up instructions, I thought everything was fine, but the photo's were dark and missing colors.
I went into the Epson support web site and followed the manual instructions and was unable to turn off the R2000 printer controls so that photoshop could control the colors as recommended . I could see the screen while in photoshop but was unable to set the control as the item was grayed out. On the second call to Epson tech support, we found that the printer could be shut off in the Text Edit program since that was a Mac program.. Once that was done, the photoshop colors shined thru beautifully and I have had no further issues. The pictures are professional quality.
with the R1900 the photo's were darker and it seemed that I always had to brighten up the photo's before printing. They didn't appear to match the image on the computer even after calibration with the Spider 3. But with the R2000 I don't seem to have that problem and am happy to say that now I know that photoshop (CS5) is working properly and no adjustment is necessary. There is no longer an issue of brightening up the photo before print
After 2 days of fiddling with the controls and 2 calls to Epson support ( which was very helpful), I can now say that I am very happy with the R2000

Rated 3 out of 5Â by LuLu A bit disappointed
I bought the Epson R2000. The output is fantastic but very disappointed as to how slow it is. Even doing documents in black and white, very slow.
