The Cisco Firewall Security System bundles allow customers to order a 10-Gbps system with a single product identifier. 10-Gbps bundle includes a Cisco Catalyst 6513 Switch, fan tray, Supervisor Engine 720-3BXL, and two Firewall Services Modules (FWSMs). Each bundle can be configured with up to four FWSMs to deliver 20 Gbps of performance.
The FWSM for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches is a high-performance, integrated stateful inspection firewall with application and protocol inspection engines, providing 5.5 Gbps of throughput; 100,000 connections per second; and one million concurrent connections.
