Rated 5 out of 5Â by ktscrapbooklady an impressive large format printer!
I had to do a fair amount of research before I decided to try this printer. I was impressed with everything I read online about it and could tell it would be worth a try. My only hesitation was if I would really like printing out scrapbook pages with it. I've been vocal about not liking the look of home printing for digital layouts in general.
Um, I stand corrected... The colors were sharp and beautiful. No streaking, even on large portions of blue sky. True to life depth and very vibrant.
It is very reasonably priced for the quality you get and I believe they have pared down the size as much as possible while still allowing you to print up to 13"x19" projects.
Like any higher end printer, it does require a full set of cartridges, but I've been pleased with how many print jobs I've gotten out of them. I've printed out several photos and at least 8 large scrapbook pages and still have not run out any of the colors of ink. I really like that you only need to replace the cartridge you run out of instead of all of them at once.
The bottom line? I won't be printing all of my layouts with this printer simply because of the really large amount of printing that I do. However, I will definitely use this printer for regular projects such as posters, prints, and also some scrapbook pages. I think it would be the perfect printer for anyone who is doing Project Life or pocket scrapping layouts on a regular basis. It would be so nice to print out your pages each week and slip them right into your album.
I'm so glad that I had the chance to try this printer out in person. As soon as I printed my very first page, I was impressed. Nothing like being able to see the magic come together right in front of your eyes. If you print out larger projects, this is definitely a printer I would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Granus B&W? Consider the 1340.
I wanted a B&W printer to print scans of negatives from family archives. These are not contemporary, hi-res, fine art files and frequently require considerable work but, Iâ™ve been getting beautiful prints from them. A friend had been printing them for me on a 2880 which, with its four black ink tanks produced beautiful prints, but was beyond my means. I decided to gamble on the 1430. Prints from it are far beyond anything I had hoped for and, from the file sources I work with, are incapable of being distinguished from those of the 2880. B&Ws up to 11x14, the largest Iâ™ve produced so far, are terrific. Print surfaces are smooth and uniform even on glossy paper. Blacks are pure, gradations are smooth, whites are crisp on the premium paper I use, and resolution matches what I see on my hi-res monitor. Iâ™ve done little color so far, so cannot speak to it, but if youâ™re looking for a large format, affordable B&W printer give the 1430 serious consideration. Set-up was easy (Ethernet, not Wi-Fi) and the printer has performed flawlessly.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Rocky Artisan 1430
I have been a loyal Epson customer for many years and still have an old C60 that keeps on working. I bought the artisan 1430 in may last year and have had to replace it 3 times, so I definitely would not recommend this product. I do desktop publishing and need a reliable printer .... This is NOT it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Ron Can't Go Wrong with the Epson Artisan 1430
Recieved my Epson Artisan 1430 about 3 weeks ago. So far I've only printed 7 13x19" photos and the colors are fantastic! The one thing I question is the printing specs....It states printing a 13x19 boarderless photo takes 3 minutes! That must be at a VERY FAST print setting! I've been averaging 20 minutes for my photos at a high quality setting! Not a complaint just a note to you all! My last Epson printer took 40 minutes at this size! Still an excellent printer to have.
