I haven't had any trouble with any of the drives, and they run cool and data access is fast. The drives exceed the performance rating of the NAS. With nearly 20 TB of storage, I have easy access to my music, videos, and occasionally store surveilance camera video. These drives record reliably and support multiple users both wired and wirelessly over my LAN. I would recommend WD RED drives for NAS builders especially now with the new LOWER prices. May 8, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by topgum Takes the heat and keeps on trucking I have a RAID box that holds 4 drives in close proximity and heat failure had been a continuous problem until I found WD red. I stopped using a competitor's drives and have been through WD blue green black and only the red seems to last May 2, 2013
