Purchasing an extended, onsite plan does not automatically upgrade your first year warranty to onsite. Under the advanced exchange option upon contacting Lexmark if Lexmark is unable to resolve the issue remotely Lexmark will provide you with an exchange printer. This exchange printer is a permanent replacement for your printer and automatically inherits your original printer's remaining warranty. This option requires Lexmark to collect your credit card details and retain them until receive the faulty unit. If the original printer isn't returned within 6 weeks Lexmark will invoice you for the full retail value of the unit at time of shipping.
