This is a high performance 7-outlet surge protection for network systems. SurgeArrest can detect dangerous wiring problems. It is missing features such as phone line protection, Ethernet protection, coax cable protection and some big outlets for transformers. But, in terms of the basic work of a surge protector, this is a step up and a good choice if you don't need these cited features. I compared the detailed specs at APC's website, retailers usually don't offer all the gory techie details. July 29, 2009
