The transaction and prompt shipping was handled flawlessly by the vendor. Could not have been better.
The adapter itself does not work well at all in my car's cassette player. (98 subaru legacy factory cassette player) VERY low signal to noise ratio and very poor gain at the cassette head. The hum, which all of these seem to have to some degree is as loud as the music signal.
To be fair, I've already bought and tried another make (a 'monster, icarplay') which has the same problem. This model of factory Subaru player may well be quirky. A family member has a Coby brand adapter which gives me what I expected.

Doesn't work in most car cassette decks that drop the tape down into the player, the cord prevents it from dropping down in.
