The APC Smart-UPS XL protects your data by supplying reliable, network-grade power with scalable run-time in either a tower or rackmount (2U) form factor. With optional, matching battery packs, run-time can be easily extended and optimized for the application. APC understands long run-time requirements, so your Smart-UPS XL can be configured with up to 10 additional battery packs for run-times exceeding 24 hours, if necessary.

The convergence of voice and data networks is placing higher demands on availability expectations, and the Smart-UPS XL delivers by providing power protection for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), e-commerce, WiFi ("hotspots", WLAN/ WWAN, and mixed wireless), and data enabled PBX applications. Rated 5 out of 5Â by John More then enough I started a position as an IT manager and one of the things that needed to be done was enclose all the servers in a rack. Well i needed to choose one UPS to provide battery backup to these 7 servers. I chose this to test and it is more than what i expected. I have seven servers, a 24 port gigabit switch, a kvm box and a slide out monitor and keyboard plugged into it and only 2 of the load lights are on. We had a power outage and this baby lasted over 20 minutes!!!! Really great UPS or the money and size and overall ease. Network Management card is great. Sends automated emails and provides SNMP Monitoring. August 22, 2010
