I purchased the Wyse USB wireless adapter for a Wyse VL90 Winterm that I bought for home use over a year ago to test the concept of "green computing" in a residential environment. Part of my testing included a wireless connection, which was successful, though slower than both the wired alternatives I tried - cat5e cable and powerline ethernet. The transmission rates were satisfactory throughout the house for an 802.11 b/g device, but I am using an N-mode wireless access point connected to my server.
Drawbacks: older technology (G mode), single compatible vendor (Wyse), monopoly pricing (Wyse).
