Got several of these babies hoping to split the DVI-D signal out of my computer (an HP Z600 with a PNY GeForce GT9600) to a Samsung 23" and Sony HDTV. It flat doesn't work. If you have two of the exact same make and model monitors, it works like a champ. If you plug in the monitor only and turn the computer on, it works fine. The *second* that you plug in the DVI to HDMI adapter, with or without the HDMI cable plugged into that, the monitor goes dark. Neither display works. I'm setting up a lab and have tried this on a dozen workstations with nine different TV's and many of these cables and it doesn't work on any of them, so it's not just a bad part somewhere. Beware!
