Rated 2 out of 5Â by Pants No power switch, daft design
Performance when in use is typically Polycom, great. But why would they not have a way to switch off the console?
Once you charge the batteries, I would expect to be able to retain the charge, but you can't as there is no power switch. Yes it goes to sleep mode but if a button is pressed (while in luggage), it turns on again, thus runs out of power when you arrive at your destination.

I researched many different conference phones before this purchase, and was skeptical that the features on these phones would work as described. However, this phone certainly lives up to the description. Plus it's very convenient. The ability to use the phone anywhere without having it plugged into the wall is great. Any phone can be connected to the Polycom and that is very helpful for a small office where the phone is needed in various rooms. My boss loves it so much he asked me to buy another!

First off, this phone must be powered on via A/C when not in use or the battery will drain. Pretty poor design in my opinion.
Despite this flaw, the phone worked excellently, with the base station in a central location it showed plenty of signal in all of our conference rooms.
This lasted three days...
It then stopped registering with the base station despite multiple efforts to reconnect.
I ended up updating the phone's software and that did the trick however this required two things that I did not have at hand: Windows XP (or earlier) with administrative privileges and a camera style USB cable.
