The APC Smart-UPS 2200VA 120VAC Tower is a high performance Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that will provide protection for your electronic equipment from utility power blackouts, brownouts, sags and surges, small utility fluctuations and large disturbances. The UPS also provides battery backup power until utility power returns to safe levels or the batteries are fully discharged. Features include: intuitive LCD interface which provides clear and accurate information in multiple languages with the ability to configure the UPS locally with easy to use navigation keys; a predictive replace battery date which dynamically provides the month and year when battery replacement is recommended to aide in long term maintenance planning; InfraStruXure Central compatibility enables centralized management via APC InfraStruXure Central; SmartSlot which allows you to customize the UPS capabilities with optional management cards; cold-start capability which provides temporary battery power when the utility power is out.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DaveN Good quality UPS This is my second one of these - they work as expected. With two identical units both having network management cards, I have configured them as redundant - one power supply from the servers goes to one SMT2200, and the other goes to the other one. PowerChute Network Shutdown will then delay shutting down the servers until it gets shutdown requests from both UPSs. This is only a few seconds of configuration to get a great redundant system - but NOTE that both UPSs need to be the same model, and the network management cards need the same firmware. This feature alone makes it worth choosing a Smart-UPS model that supports it. August 20, 2012

It has plenty of excess capacity and will accept additional plug-ins. It is well worth the money. May 5, 2011

Unit gets beaten on daily by auto repair shop Any bigger and you might need special wiring. Good for a larger outfit that has greater IT needs, without going crazy. February 6, 2011
