Utkaduck Easy Set up - some limitations
Couple of things to keep in mind - the 13 inch raise / lower that they talk about is the total vertical alignment you can have. It does NOT mean you can raise it 13 inches above the initial center line. I found this out when I mounted the arm on my wall - which has a window on it. In the full height position, the monitor barely cleared the desk (30" height) I was using. I had to rig up a mount on the back of the monitor to raise it up another 6 inches. Essentially, I used the bottom mount holes of the monitor with the top mounts of the arm, and then used the existing monitor mount hole to match up with a hole that I drilled in the arm's bracket (upper "silver" bolt visible in photo). To add stability, I added a short piece of flat metal and added another smalll bolt to the other monitor stand mounts. I am also using a 27 inch monitor, which is larger than the recommended monitor size to use, but it was well within the weight and depth recoomendations for this mounting arm.
