This version of the Exagrid Disk-based Backup System consists of the 2TB EX2000 Model providing two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports.
The ExaGrid high-speed disk-based backup appliance with byte-level data de-duplication and remote site replication provides industry leading backup, recovery and tape copy performance. Scalable GRID-based architecture maintains linear performance as capacity needs grow and modular mix and match server architecture scales up to 6 nodes of any capacity combination in the GRID for unparalleled investment protection. You can use data deduplication to store weeks to months of retention inexpensively on disk with an average 50 to 1 bandwidth reduction for efficient WAN-based replication (remote site consolidation, disaster recovery – one to one; many to one).
The EX1000 comes with a simple NAS interface (GbE or 10 GbE) and supports a 2TB full backup (size of a full primary data back up) plus up to 16 weeks of data retention on one server. It's raw disk capacity stands at 6TB with 4.5TB usable and utilizes RAID6 plus hot spare to ensure data integrity. Logical (deduplicated capacity) runs at Weekly fulls 40TB/Daily fulls 150TB. Licenses include all features - replication, GRID, reporting, etc.
