We had a Dell Monitor and the screen was going black all the time. I fiddled around with it and got it to continue working for a while, but it got to the point where it wouldn't stay on at all. After "Googling" the Dell model number, I found we weren't alone, because it was a common problem with this model, and the fix was supposed to be easy (if you could do it yourself with a specific replacement part and a soldering iron). Took it to a computer repair place, and he advised they don't repair monitors, and it was cheaper to buy a new one anyway. So, we bought the Acer 19" V193W EJb. When I first set it up, the image overshot the screen, and had to be reset manually, but after a couple of cold boots, it adjusted itself, and everything is fine. Image quality is excellent.

I bought this widescreen monitor for my Acer laptop and am more than pleased with the results. Picture quality is superb and the colors dazzeling. This is one purchase I am very happy with.

I was extreemly pleased with my Purchace of the Acer Monitor. the ease of installation on my system. The quality of the Monitor was superb.
