Rated 3 out of 5 Nice but expensive to use
After working in an office with these printers for a year I was overwhelmed by the quality of the print on cheap paper and the performance so I bought one to replace my Phaser 6100 which I had been happy with without issue for many years until it started mis-feeding with old age.
The 8570 is very reasonably priced, and when I bought it the ink was not too expensive either, but ten months later I needed my first batch of replacement ink and the price had doubled to more than the cost of a new 8570 (nearly double!) for a full set. I only realised this once I had bought the ink.
The real problem came two weeks after the guarantee had expired when following a power outage it would not start up with an error indicating that the print head had failed making the printer a write off - Xerox want more than the cost of a new printer to just replace the printhead.
I was hoping for a printer that would give me good quallity print for a few years, but I am now having to look for a replacement. I am looking for a secondhand one now.
The quality of print was superb for everything I do (unless laminating - the ink melts and smears) but I have to look at over 10p per page in depreciation costs! I really liked using the printer and so wish I could be more positive about it but it is a luxury item when overall cost of ownership is considered. I will cherish the last three pages I printed which are as good as the day I bought it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MGinAZ Great Color; Expensive Ink
When my Xerox Phaser 8560 DN began to show its age (used it for about 6 years), I added the Colorqube 8570 DN. The color output is very nice - much better than the 8560 (which I thought was pretty good until I saw the 8570 output). As others have noted, this printer is a bit noisy, but I am accustomed to its creaks, groans, and feeding noises. The 8570 may even be a bit quiter than the 8560. ;-}
The cost of ink is a bit of a shocker with this printer. Perhaps my documents use more color than the price per copy comparisons show. Plus, when the printer "thinks" it is low on ink - I seem to use more yellow than any other color - the printer will notify you that it is low on one or more colors, and will finally refuse to print until you add more ink. I learned this the "hard" way recentely...even though I could still see that the printer had a full stick of yellow, it refused to print until I added more - which I had to order. Because of Hurricane Sandy, delivery was a bit delayed from my online supplier.
Fortunately, I had my 8560 as a backup printer. I'm still evaluating the cost per page for the 8570...overall it seems to be a reliable, relatively fast #even in duplex mode#, printer with great color quality. Just wish the ink would come down in pricing...one set of ink costs more than the printer!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Jill What was I thinking
A Xerox tech recommended this printer to me. What was I thinking? This printer is slow and EXTREMELY LOUD. It has issues functioning properly with the manual tray at times.
I regret the day I bought this printer and have wanted to run it over more than once!

Unless you are REALLY savvy, when and if you need to change your router or modem, this printer will become an EXPENSIVE BOAT ANCHOR.
