The Meraki MR24 is an enterprise class, dual-concurrent 3x3 MIMO 802.11n access point designed for high-density deployments in large offices, schools, hospitals and hotels that require premium performance.

The MR24 is the first 3x3 MIMO enterprise access point to use three spatial streams. This advanced radio technology enables the MR24 to provide up to 450 mbit/sec of throughput per radio, for a combined 900 mbit/s. Technologies like transmit beamforming and enhanced receive sensitivity give the MR24 increased range compared to typical enterprise-class access points, resulting in fewer required APs for a given deployment. In addition, the MR24 uses band steering to automatically serve 5 GHz-capable clients with the 5 GHz radio, maximizing capacity in the 2.4 GHz range for older 802.11b/g clients.

The MR24 utilizes the Meraki Enterprise Cloud Controller, which provides centralized management, authentication and monitoring in addition to other advanced features like application-aware traffic shaping, real-time forensics and system-wide performance optimization.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Doyle Simple, powerful and easy to use Our facility has a challenge in that one side of the building has very dense concrete and steel. The MR24 was one of only two access points that went through it with no problem. We deployed enough MR24s this past year to cover our entire building and it has performed EXTREMELY well. The cloud controller is great and very easy to use. Can enable/disable additional SSIDs as needed quickly. Adding the other functionality you get with the licensing this is a must have environment for I.T. departments that need to 'do more with less'. May 10, 2013
