Rated 4 out of 5Â by soxville Decent except for the interface After having a number of guests at my house with Macbooks that couldn't keep a connection to my old router, I bit the bullet and switched to Airport Extreme. Most of the Apple users' issues have gone away which makes me happy. Also the device consistently gives me a 300Mbps WiFi connection which is a plus. The big disappointment, however, is the interface. I thought Apple products were supposed to be well designed and easy to use. The Airport Utility makes it difficult to find almost anything you may want to change. And why do I even NEED this piece of software installed on my computer, when every other router in the universe seems to use a browser interface? Also, it only works instantly from the computer I set it up with. If I try it from my secondary machine I have to go File --> Configure Other which is plain dumb. It's frustrating that it can't it simply find the router on the network and ask me to log in. June 7, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ozusaoz Stable and fast I am replacing an older D-link router which I had to restart every day or two and which would often drop the connection. I have not restarted the Extreme once since I bought it several weeks ago. I have not been able to configure it with OpenDNS, as my ISP gives me a dynamically assigned IP, and the Airport Software Utility puts the Extreme into bridge mode. I indicate this as a minor issue because I configured the D-link in minutes. I'm sure it is solvable when I get some more time. March 13, 2013

I emailed customer service and received a prompt reply with the shipping label and material to return the item. I received full credit for it. I am very happy with the level of customer service I received from MacConnection. February 5, 2013
