We added the Xerox WorkCentre Multifunction to our Home Office setup to primarily provide faxing capability but also to enable scanning functionality and further augment our existing 2 network printers (a dedicated Brother B&W laser and a dedicated Brother Color laser). We are advanced users of home networking and computing equipment (read: Engineer) and are generally quite technically savvy. We researched many multi-function color fax machines and most reviews pointed us towards the Xerox WorkCentre for the price point we desired. However, we were somewhat skeptical given a bad experience previously with a Xerox Phaser color printer. We bought the Xerox WorkCentre nonetheless and were thoroughly disappointed! What Xerox won't tell you in their marketing material (nor did MacConnection disclose) is the important fact that the Xerox WorkCentre fax is unable to send Fax's if your phone line is a digital / VOIP based phone line! Note: We use Comcast for Internet and phone service. After hours spent on the support line with Comcast and Xerox (and numerous other hours searching technical help blogs), Xerox support told me that their machines are not supportive of digital / VOIP based phone lines despite no mention of this important fact anywhere in marketing materials! They of course provided no recourse and pointed me towards MacConnection who in turn pointed me back towards Xerox. No matter what fax settings I experimented with, the machine kept giving me "Communication Failure 034-712" error messages.
I will never buy a Xerox home office product again!

This is XEROX! What a wonderful machine.
Easy to use, Superb printing and copy quality.
And you don't have to be millionaire to be able to afford this machine.
