In order to connect newer laptops or computers that output an HDMI signal to older peripherals, such as projects or monitors, that accept a VGA input, the digital HDMI signal must be converted to an analog VGA signal. Rated 1 out of 5Â by raykul C2G Trulink HDMI to VGA While the device may be powered via the HDMI cable, not all HDMI send power out. Tried using it to convert HDMI out from a Cisco videoconference device but there is no power. While it does come with a 9Volt input, a 9 volt power supply is an option that you must locate elsewhere.
