Rated 5 out of 5Â by WyomingLibertyGeek Super fast drive This is a great internal drive. I am currently using a 2TB capacity to save full system images of my workstation drives. It is a very speedy drive in terms of transfer speeds. If one of my workstation's drives fail, I believe I can have full trust in this drive having my important data backed up safely. The only quibble I may have with this WD Black drive, is it vibrates a little bit more than I would like, so I am planning on reinstalling it using vibration-dampening grommet mounts to solve that issue. Other than that one small issue, I'd definitely recommend this drive to anyone. May 31, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MisterL What I was looking for and more I've owned two Caviar Blacks for almost 3 years and have found them to be reliable, cool, quiet and fast. What else can you ask from a hard drive ? Over the years I've had Samsung, Seagate, Maxtor, Hitachi, Toshiba and have had mixed experiences with their reliability. It's possible to get a dud with any product but I have a WD that's been running for 11 years. WD is the only brand I trust these days. May 31, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Unhappyman Three out of five failed within 2 years I used the black dirves for security camera servers. Three out of five had failed within 2 years. I just sent 2 back to WD, the original drives had expiry dates in June of 2016, but the replacement drives sent from WD warranty expire on Sept 2013!!! I am losing almost three years of warranty on the replacement!!! Why is that???? It is not fair to consumers the way they do. May 29, 2013
