The PT-18R serve your workgroup or you can take it on the road with you. Just remove it the rechargeable cradle and it's NiMH battery is ready to provide off-site lableing. Or connect it your your PCs USB port and add more barcodes to the PT-18's vast array of stand-alone symbologies. It provides easy one-key access for templates and symbols.

While the PT-18R is small in size, it’s rich in features. This unit has an 15 character LCD display and the ability to print up to two lines. It also has 4 built-in fonts, and can print 8 different types of styles. Special printing options include text framing and mirror printing. The PT-18R can also print up to 99 copies at a time. Featuring easy-change “TZ” tape cassettes, you can choose from a variety of TZ styles including Standard Laminated, Extra Strength Adhesive, Flexible ID, Tamper Evident, Iron-on Fabric and Non-Laminated.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KCBob Great label maker I was pleased by the small size and the number of features in the unit. The menus are easy to follow and it prints quickly and cuts automatically. For remote use their should be a battery option to use standard AAA batteries, but the rechargeable batteries do last quite a long time. Being able to update the unit via USB is a great addition to the label maker. And, of course, the Brother TZ range of labels is a plus also. Only downside is it can not use the 3.5mm labels (maybe later via a firmware update). Nice range of fonts and sizes and flexible label features. I would recommend this label maker to anyone January 4, 2013

While tethered via USB cord to a computer, any of your computer's fonts can be used via the enclosed Brother print software. The printer stays conveniently located - and charging - ready to be taken anywhere for labeling tasks. The label quality is superb. Love this printer! December 3, 2012
