This Super DLTtape II is high-capacity storage media with an archival life of over 30 years. The magnetic recording layer is thinner and its magnetic particle size is smaller than in the previous generation to boost tape drive performance with superior media capacity and superior reliability. It is DLTSage enabled, which better manages, predicts and proactively prevents storage system errors. The eMP60 technology improves recording densities enabling higher capacities. The Super PET (S-PET) base film strengthens the tape, allowing for better usability. The optical servo on the back of the tape saves the magnetic surface for data, increasing the number of recording tracks. It's best suited for the most demanding and data-intensive automation, enterprise and stand-alone DLTtape environments.
