The Axiom 1000BASE-T SFP operates on link spans up to 100m with standard category 5 unshielded twisted pair copper cabling. This transceiver supports 10/100/1000 auto negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, and is designed and tested to be 100% compatible in all Cisco switch, networking, and data center product lines and applications. Each transceiver is pre-configured and factory loaded with Cisco specific application code required for Cisco IOS, SMARTnet compliance, and supports the Cisco quality ID feature. Axiom transceivers are tested to perform functionally identical to the "original" transceiver. Complying fully with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) enables this transceiver to work in all MSA complaint platforms as well as function with other manufacturer's brands within the same network.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by ZBone It's inexpensive They work (I bought three). But either they didn't latch, or in one case the latch broke off. I plugged them into Cisco 2960 switches. If you're looking for cheap and don't plan on pulling them out of their slots, then go ahead. Otherwise, you might want to try another brand. July 6, 2012
