HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 2), the fourth generation of Lights-Out remote management, delivers industry-leading remote control for ProLiant servers and ProLiant BladeSystem server blades. HP iLO 2 is an intelligent management processor and firmware integrated on most ProLiant servers. HP iLO Advanced for BladeSystem is now available, providing full advanced remote management capabilities on ProLiant BladeSystem, similar to iLO Advanced on ProLiant servers.
In addition to visual remote access through a graphical remote console or the new iLO Text Console, iLO Advanced and iLO Advanced for BladeSystem provide a number of diagnostic capabilities, including automatic video footage of the server's last boot and last fault, intelligent global team collaboration for up to four users, the ability to measure, regulate, and cap server power consumption, and much more. Finally, the transition from basic iLO 2 features to iLO Advanced or iLO Advanced for BladeSystem requires no additional installation - HP ProLiant and ProLiant BladeSystem servers come shipped with necessary iLO 2 firmware already installed. A simple license key activates all advanced features.
