            This service plan provides 3-years of service for your covered ThinkPad computer. The coverage period shall begin on the warranty start date of the covered product and will expire at the end of the term specified in your invoice. Notwithstanding the above, the coverage period will end prior to the expiration date of this agreement if, as a result of service provided to you, your product has been replaced.

            Under this agreement, Lenovo will repair or, if in Lenovo's sole discretion it is deemed necessary, replace the product if it experiences operational or structural failures resulting under normal operating conditions and handling due to liquid spills on the keyboard, unintentional drops and bumps, an electrical surge that damages the product's circuitry or failure of the integrated LCD screen. Service is available only in the United States.

            If you are unable to resolve a problem by following the troubleshooting guide that was provided with the product, you may speak with a technician who will make an initial diagnosis of your problem and will attempt to help you resolve it through the telephone. Telephone support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (excluding some holidays). If your problem can be resolved with a Customer Replaceable Unit, Lenovo will ship these parts to you for your replacement. You are responsible for packing the replaced CRU in the shipping container, affixing the shipping label and scheduling pickup with the authorized courier for return to Lenovo within 30 days. If Lenovo repairs your product, replacements parts may be from the original mfr. or a different one, may be new or refurbished, but will at least be in good working order and equivalent to the original item. If the required parts are at the repair center, Lenovo will attempt to repair and return the product within 3 business days from the day the product was received at the service center.

            This agreement covers product components installed in your ThinkPad at the time of purchase, including the internal central processing unit, integrated hard disk drive, integrated optical drive, integrated keyboard, integrated pointing devices, integrated LCD screen, optional features installed by Lenovo at the time of the product purchase and other componentry that Lenovo includes as a standard feature with the product.

            *This agreement does NOT cover: external peripherals and accessories including optional features not installed by Lenovo at the time of product purchase, external keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, external drives, software (preloaded or purchased separately), tape, disks, CDs/DVDs, film or other media, third-party products (even if sold by Lenovo).
            This agreement does NOT cover: parts intended to be replaced or consumed (such as batteries) or cosmetic damage; damage or alteration from intentional misuse, modification, an unsuitable physical or operating environment, improper maintenance by anyone other than Lenovo Authorized Service Providers, removal of the original parts or alteration of a product or identification labels, or damage caused by a product not covered in this agreement; theft, loss or damage from fire, flood, or force majeure; consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to loss of use and loss of opportunity, even if Lenovo is informed of their possibility.
