This is a maintenance subscription from Nuance Communications. Maintenance is purchased annually and includes access to Technical Support, error corrections, software updates and software upgrades (i.e., future new releases of Nuance products as they become available). Maintenance starts from the date the product was purchased from Nuance. Maintenance is purchased for a period of 12 months and the Maintenance Periods ends on the anniversary date of purchase. Renewals are available.
The client can designate up to two people to be the liaison between Nuance Technical Support and the client’s users of the software. This will allow the client’s liaisons to become experts in the Nuance software and Technical Support process, as well as allow the Nuance Technical Support personnel to become familiar with the client’s liaisons.
Software upgrades are new versions of the product that include the latest functionality and features. These upgrades will be made available for download from the Nuance Web site. A notification will be sent out when a new version of the product becomes available. Upgrades may also be available on CD or DVD.
Software updates are released as needed to address issues that have come in from the field after a product is released. These updates will be available for download from the Nuance Web site. Updates may also be available on CD or DVD.
